mkolling@eskgb.com
Matthew Kolling, a skilled and experienced lawyer, specializes in meeting the unique legal challenges of government bodies, not-for-profit entities, and other organizations. At Ebeltoft . Sickler . Lawyers, Matt has the privilege of heading up the Organizational Consultants Team, one of the few North Dakota practices focusing on representation of government entities and not-for-profits.
Matt currently serves as city attorney for a number of municipalities in southwestern North Dakota, including Dickinson, Medora, Killdeer, Hettinger, Beach and Regent. Matt also serves as counsel to the Theodore Roosevelt Regional Airport Authority and as general counsel to a major health care organization in Dickinson.
Matt is also an experienced litigator, having tried a wide variety of cases in North Dakota, Montana and Minnesota. Although Matt’s litigation practice is wide-ranging, his particular focus is on representing clients on government contracts and federal claims matters, condemnation and eminent domain work, and employment law. Matt is also active in representing creditors in bankruptcy and other creditors’ rights and collection matters.
Matt and his wife, Kari, are kept busy with the activities of their two young children, Joshua and Emma. When not taking on difficult litigation challenges or serving his community, Matt spends his time as a part-time T-ball and soccer coach and amateur home repairman.
